In November 2015, NSW Premier Mike Baird announced a strategy to assist all NSW schools in countering anti-social and extremist behaviour, a coordinated interagency approach that aims to build resilience and promote harmony in the community. The NSW Department of Education, the Catholic Education Commission NSW and the Association of Independent Schools of NSW have collaborated to develop a support package to address anti-social and extremist behaviour in all NSW schools. As part of this support package a range of initiatives designed to build community cohesion and promote cultural harmony have been introduced.

The NSW Department of Education, the Catholic Education Commission NSW and the Association of Independent Schools NSW have collaboratively developed resources to support schools.
